Originally a cathartic impulse to process the times, Space On Space began as a print magazine in Los Angeles in 2020. SOS has evolved over the years into a digital art publication and media strategist, currently based in Philadelphia. SOS writes art reviews, conducts interviews with culture workers shaping art discourse, and provides PR tips for artists on Substack. The publication hosts parties, art talks, and poetry events.

Separately from the magazine, SOS offers public relations services to art galleries and organizations to expand visibility. Our founder sees a distinct line between public relations and journalism and never editorially writes about current PR clients. See our ethics policy for details.
